About Us
Wild Rose Entertainment was founded in 2004 and received its first gaming license in May 2005 from the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC), the regulatory authority for casinos and pari-mutuel wagering in Iowa, as a part of a competitive process. The company received a second license in Iowa in June 2006 as a result of acquiring an existing casino operation. When Wild Rose received these two licenses, the company received praise from the IRGC commissioners for the caliber of its projects and impressive commitment to the communities in which it is based.
Beyond gaming, Mr. Gary Kirke and Dr. Mike Richards offer experience in developing and operating a wide array of businesses. Mr. Kirke is the lead partner in a $189 million mixed-use lifestyle center in West Des Moines, Iowa.
